Yeah.. i know, i haven't posted at all. You break the habit, and you never come back. It happens.
Anyway, since its a new year, I'm starting over. I think i was about even last year, give or take 10 dollars. So i'm starting over, and with a physical bankroll, not just dependent if I have any money in my wallet. I figure 10x the regular buy-in is about right, so I'm starting with 50 bucks, and seeing if i can build it. Got to start somewhere. Speaking of which, here are some of the highlights of my poker playing lately.
--- AA in a $10 tourney, shortstacked, and I push. 4 clubs on the board, my aces were red. Lose to the 7Jo (one club) flush. Damn.. 2 outside the money.
--- AA in BB, check it. flop is 994, call SB's 60 cent bet. turn is [994]9, meaning no one has the other 9 (i have good reads on these guys), bet a dollar when SB checks. 3 to the river. River is jack, for 9949J. I figure i am beat by 2 hands, 9x (not likely) and JJ, which if he got lucky, so be it. I push, and have everyone covered. MP folds, and LP almost throws his hand away, but is coached into calling (there is also a 3 flush out on the board, so they think I over bet that to protect it). He has the four, for 9's full of 4's, while i flip over AA for 9's full of Aces. It was a very nice payday.
And now for the story of why this poker blog is (finally after 3 names) is called "Misdealt". Its not too terribly wrong. But again it involves AA. Unfortunately, I'm not holding it. There is a misdeal when one stinking card gets flipped. I didn't see it, but oh well, the Q3 was going in the muck anyway. So, i get my cards, and its AKs. wOOt! I'm liking it, so i raise to a dollar. I'm instantly reraised by Shaffer to 2 dollars. Everyone folds, and i say out loud, "do you have aces?" he smiles, and i push. He has been known to bluff, so i'm not worried. He calls, and flips over the ace of spades.
Then he flips over the ace of clubs.
Damn, i hate it when i'm right.
no help on the board, and i'm out of the game after 4 hands (no rebuys, even though its just a cash game.)
At least I got it back with the Hiltons the day afterwards when he pushes with his TPTK. :D

I just turned 18, so i figured I'd get online and play some poker for real cash, and not with the free 10 dollars Royal Vegas gives you (lost that after building it to 90 at the NL 7Stud game... never play where your bankroll can't handle it.. at least it was a free lesson).
I looked at
Party Poker, but I hate the avatars, and the limits are too high (yes, .5/1 is too high for me.. i'm only a high school student, jeez. I'll get on there when i have alot more money). Then there is
Absolute Poker, but again, i just don't like it. Too much clutter. Then there is
Poker Champs, which has a very nice interface and good recommendations. So i try to sign up for Netteller so I can get some money online.
Damn... its probably easier to get a gun in this country.. Supposibly Maryland is not kosher for online money services. damn.. i need either a credit card or send it by wire transfer. Anyideas for me? I need a decent site for +18 that is easy to put money in.
